Canadian Pacific Kansas City is seeking a Manager Mechanical in Shreveport, LA. The role drives safety, regulatory compliance, and performance across terminals, leading field managers and repair teams to meet productivity targets and ensure proper train inspections.

The position requires 10+ years in railway operations, a high school diploma or GED, and flexibility for all shifts, including nights and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Minimum 10 years of working knowledge in railway operations (road, yard, locomotive, mechanical).
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and on call.
• Ability to interact effectively with governmental and stakeholders.
• Strong root-cause analysis and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe shop operations through safety scorecard implementation.
• Maintain emergency response readiness within the territory.
• Provide leadership and support to managers in field shops.
• Develop staffing levels at each terminal.
• Drive operational performance targets and repair productivity.
• Resolve escalations from terminals and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Drive trainyard performance and ensure daily train repairs.
• Ensure train inspections are logged and meet standards.
