Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair machinery and systems at our facility in Oregon. The role focuses on reducing downtime, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive maintenance with a full range of tools and diagnostic equipment.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems and problem solving.
• Comfort using diagnostic tools and hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure proper operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns and downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic tools and expertise.
• Repair or replace parts as needed.
• Work with electrical and mechanical systems in the facility.
• Respond to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders in systems.
• Communicate with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate work.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.
