Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Technician I in Florida. You’ll maintain grinding, conveying, and kiln systems, perform welding, and fabricate from prints for timely repairs. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and routine documentation of maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent is required or equivalent.
• Millwright/Industrial certification preferred.
• Maintenance Apprentice Program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year mechanical maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to read and understand labels, instructions and signs; willingness to learn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Align sheaves and V-Belts using precision equipment.
• Inspect and repair clinker cooler parts and Kiln components.
• Assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related equipment.
• Perform 5S cleaning and lubrication; welding and cutting as needed.
• Ability to read prints and fabricate from sketches accurately.
• Perform rigging of heavy loads and assist with plant outages.
