Job summary
RTX, a leader in defense technology, is seeking a mechanical engineer to drive design and integration across the full product lifecycle for missiles and launchers. The role involves leading teams, performing analyses, and coordinating with suppliers worldwide.
The ideal candidate will have a STEM degree with several years of relevant experience, proficiency in CREO CAD and GD&T, and the ability to travel to facilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience leading mechanical engineering teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and develop design solutions.
- Experience managing tasks and delivering on schedule, budget, and technical goals.
- Experience with design reviews and/or trade studies to support informed engineering decisions.
Responsibilities
- Developing innovative technical solutions across the product lifecycle for missiles and launchers, support equipment and electronics.
- Perform mechanical design analyses ensuring form, fit, and function.
- Lead small teams in a fast-paced environment with structures, thermal, harness and interconnects, electronics packaging, tooling and integration.
- Provide support for product assembly and integration in factories and suppliers domestically and internationally.
