Job summary

RTX seeks a Senior Engineer to join the Space & Airborne Power & Digital Department, supporting electronics packaging for missiles and launchers. You will lead mechanical design efforts and oversee CCA and unit packaging with a focus on manufacturability, assembly, test, and cost considerations.

You will mentor engineers, manage tasks to schedule and budget, and participate in design reviews and trade studies to ensure robust solutions across domestic and international supplier networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics related field with minimum 5 years of experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience leading a mechanical engineering team and collaborating across cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and develop solutions.
• Experience with managing tasks to schedule, budget, and technical goals; design reviews and trade studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering efforts for space and airborne power and digital packaging.
• Perform mechanical design analyses ensuring form, fit, and function across product lifecycle.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and drive cross-functional collaboration.
