Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Cape Canaveral, FL seeks a Sr Mechanical/Project Engineer - Integration to design and deploy large-scale ground systems and GSE for New Glenn campaigns. You will lead the integration, testing, and activation of mechanical systems across teams and vendors.

You will drive schedules, perform FEA, manage handoffs to operations, and ensure documentation completeness. Strong CAD, GD&T, and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in design/analysis/construction of large mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with design and systems integration/activation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale mechanical ground systems and GSE.
• Perform and review FEA and hand-calcs for complex systems.
• Serve as primary contact for mechanical integration, testing and activation.
• Develop integrated fabrication/assembly/testing/activation schedules and identify critical path.
• Track deliverables, issues, and risks; communicate with leadership and mitigate.
• Oversee external fabrication and installation contractors for quality and schedule.
• Lead handoff of commissioned systems to operations with complete documentation.
