Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, Florida, seeks a senior engineer to support the development and operations of the New Glenn program. You will work with system operations integration to translate requirements into constraints, alerts, and procedures for launch and test activities.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 7+ years in aerospace or large-scale integration, strong communication, and hands-on experience with design, testing, and integration.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or related).
• 7+ years in Aerospace or large-scale system integration.
• Solid understanding of system engineering principles and processes.
• Experience in analysis, design, or integrated testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-directed and able to balance multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure launch vehicle, ground equipment, and personnel are ready for all mission phases.
• Serve as technical contact for design, test, software, operations, and refurbishment artifacts.
• Decompose time-phased Operations into constraints, alerts, and limits.
• Ensure consistency and integration of operating requirements into procedures and displays.
• Provide real-time on-console support for tests, launches and recoveries.
• Identify gaps and support fixes for system timeline optimizations.
• Understand subsystem software operation across flight and ground systems to ensure safety.
