Job summary

Engineering Systems, Inc. (ESi) seeks a senior mechanical engineering consultant to lead complex forensic investigations and interdisciplinary projects addressing failures and product liability.

You will supervise field investigations, perform advanced analysis, and craft technical reports and expert opinions for litigation support. Travel to client sites and active participation in business development are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates complex forensic investigations and multidisciplinary projects related to mechanical engineering failures, product liability, and personal injury matters.
• Conducts and supervises field investigations of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Performs advanced engineering analysis using mechanics principles including stress analysis, fatigue, failure analysis, and dynamic loading.
• Authors high-quality technical reports and expert opinions; reviews and oversees reports prepared by junior consultants.
• Provides expert testimony at deposition and trial.
• Conducts client presentations and develops work plans and staffing for projects.
