Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) in Minnesota seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 15+ years of consulting, design, or forensic investigation experience to lead complex investigations, perform advanced analyses, and deliver expert reports.

You will mentor staff, present findings to clients, and collaborate with business development to grow the national practice. A PE license and doctoral preference are highly valued, with travel required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 15+ years of mechanical engineering consulting, design, or forensic investigation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate forensic investigations and multidisciplinary projects.
• Conduct field investigations of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Perform advanced engineering analysis (stress, fatigue, failure, fracture mechanics, dynamics).
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and expert opinions; review others' reports.
• Provide expert testimony at deposition and trial.
• Deliver client presentations and develop project staffing and schedules.
• Collaborate with Business Development to expand client base and participate in meetings.
