Engineering Systems, Inc. (ESi) is seeking a senior mechanical engineering consultant to lead forensic investigations, supervise multidisciplinary projects, and deliver expert opinions.

This role involves field work, complex analyses, client presentations, and occasional travel; the successful candidate will have PE licensure, 15+ years of experience, and strong report-writing skills.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in mechanical engineering consulting or forensic investigation.
• Deep expertise in mechanics, stress/fatigue/failure analysis, and machine design.
• Experience authoring technical reports and expert testimony is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate complex forensic investigations and multidisciplinary projects.
• Perform field investigations of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Deliver advanced engineering analyses using stress and fatigue methods.
• Authors high-quality reports and opinions; review junior staff work.
• Provide expert testimony at depositions and trial; present to clients.
