Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is seeking a senior investigator/consultant to lead field investigations of motor vehicle crashes and perform engineering analyses. You will author technical reports, present findings to clients, and, if needed, testify in court.

The role includes project staffing, scheduling, and mentoring junior staff. Candidates should have a PE license, 10–15 years in forensic/industry consulting, and strong report-writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required; ACTAR certification or ability to obtain.
• 10-15 years of work experience in forensic or industry consulting.
• Experience authoring high-quality technical reports and/or peer-reviewed publications.
• Experience providing expert testimony is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations of motor vehicles and crash scenes.
• Perform engineering analysis of motor vehicle accidents.
• Author high-quality technical reports.
• Present to clients and testify in court if required.
• Manage project staffing and schedules within budget.
• Coordinate internal technical reviews and client development activities.
• Mentor junior staff and help grow the book of business.
