Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is seeking an experienced electrical engineering consultant to perform forensic investigations, design reviews, and failure analyses for complex projects. You will conduct field inspections, generate technical reports, and provide expert testimony as required.

The role requires a PE license, 10–15 years of relevant experience, and the ability to interact professionally with clients while developing business opportunities nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
• 10–15 years of experience in electrical engineering consulting, design, or forensic investigation.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Investigates electrical system failures, equipment malfunctions, construction defects, electrical fires, shock incidents, and related electrical matters.
• Performs engineering analysis and applies NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and OSHA standards.
• Conducts field inspections of electrical systems and installations.
• Authors high-quality technical reports and provides clear expert opinions.
• Provides expert testimony at deposition and trial.
• Directs and coordinates projects within schedule and budget; mentors junior staff.
• Engages in business development activities and client meetings.
