Job summary

ON.energy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead structural analysis and validation for energy infrastructure products. You will ensure the structural integrity and thermal performance of enclosures, and safety under static and dynamic conditions, interfacing with project teams, commissioning, and O&M staff.

The role requires 15+ years of hands-on experience, FE A leadership, and collaboration across BESS, power electronics, and controls groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of hands-on structural and mechanical engineering experience in project-based or industrial settings.
• Experience with stress and fatigue analysis, and vibration assessment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop detailed reports.
• Experience validating mechanical systems for energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural stress and fatigue analysis for assemblies and enclosures.
• Lead and review FEA models to validate designs under loads.
• Ensure safety under operational, transportation, vibration, and environmental loads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BESS, Power Electronics, Controls).
• Develop mechanical documentation including calculations, specs, and drawings.
• Travel up to 20% for FAT inspections and site commissioning.
• Contribute to HVAC/thermal design of enclosures.
