Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Azusa, CA seeks a Manager Mechanical Engineering – Level 2 to lead daily operations of a manufacturing unit. You will supervise staff, assign work, set schedules and manage costs while pushing for quality and on-time delivery on a large system program.

Responsibilities include directing design and process development, production, operations, engineering, test and QA, and presenting cost/schedule/performance status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years of experience, or Master’s with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years.
• Experience in Manufacturing and/or Industrial Engineering, Production support or related.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience running a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages all operational aspects of a manufacturing and/or production area.
• Responsible for safety, quality, on-time delivery and cost targets; drives continuous improvement.
• Leads design and process development, production, operations, engineering, test and QA.
• Manages and presents status on cost, schedule and performance for projects.
• Assesses issues and develops mitigation plans to meet productivity and delivery goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
