Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Redondo Beach, CA, is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer Mechanical to lead integration and test activities for space hardware. This in-person role requires interaction with program management, design engineers, and support services in a dynamic environment.

The candidate will manage procurement, manufacturing, integration and testing across levels, while ensuring producibility and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM with 8+ years engineering experience or Masters in STEM with 6+ years experience.
• Experience on multi-disciplinary teams within IT&L or Manufacturing environment.
• Strong planning, resource allocation and schedule execution.
• Excellent written and oral communications and technical presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Procurement, manufacturing, integration, test and delivery for work packages with cost/schedule responsibility and technical excellence.
• Design tests to verify system requirements and drive producibility in all phases.
• Coordinate across technical disciplines to define operations and accomplish work efficiently.
• Lead in a highly complex restricted production environment and ensure end-to-end program protection.
