Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Mechanical Engineering for Instruments and Accessories to lead a design team for the da Vinci system.

You will guide all phases from feasibility to post-market improvements, partnering with product, regulatory, and clinical teams to deliver high-quality instruments and robotic systems. The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, strong CAD/analysis skills, and responsibility for budgets, staffing, and design validation.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• At least 10 years designing mechanical products or relevant R&D experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a people manager or leading teams.
• Experience in medical device product development or similarly regulated environments.
• Hands-on engineering manager with collaborative leadership.
• Familiarity with all phases of product development lifecycle and CAD/analysis tools.
• Strong communication, planning, and change-management skills.

Mansioni

• Lead design, development, and limited launch of new instruments and robotic systems.
• Collaborate to create roadmaps and project plans addressing customer and business needs.
• Guide design transfer through manufacturing and supplier engineering for successful launches.
• Develop staffing plans, schedules, budgets, and goals for the team.
