Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a lead-level Mechanical Engineer to manage multidiscipline project execution in nuclear-focused environments, with a hybrid work arrangement. This role emphasizes safety, schedule, budget, and client experience across the full project lifecycle.

Essential requirements include a BS/MS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program, 15+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain US government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 15+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, preferably nuclear.
• 5+ years in a lead or client liaison role.
• Experience with piping, pressure vessels, HVAC or radioactive handling systems.
• Knowledge of ASME codes and regulatory standards.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication.
• Ability to develop schedules and manage budgets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Own multidiscipline project execution and resource coordination.
• Manage all aspects of project performance: safety, schedule, budget, and client experience.
• Develop budgets, schedules and work plans; monitor to stay within budget and on schedule.
• Prepare and review complex calculations.
• Prepare/ review mechanical system designs and equipment specs.
• Prepare design input for drawings (P&IDs, layouts, GA).
• Communicate with vendors with precise specifications.
• Prepare and review reports and studies.
• Mentor junior engineers.
