Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the On-Site role in Tewksbury/Andover, MA. You will design, integrate, and support defense hardware across radar shelters, subsystems, and interconnects, collaborating with IPTs and suppliers. A security clearance (Secret) and US citizenship are required.

You will lead mechanical design tasks, participate in reviews, and help deliver systems on schedule and within budget while mentoring teammates. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• STEM degree and several years of experience in mechanical design.
• Experience across full product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Familiarity with military/commercial specifications and GD&T is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document components and major end items for defense systems.
• Serve as technical focal point on small mechanical or cross-functional teams.
• Support product integration at domestic and international locations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design challenges and meet goals.
• Self-manage tasks to meet schedule, budget, and technical objectives.
• Participate in design reviews and conduct trade studies.
• Apply mechanical problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.
