Jacobs is seeking a Senior Building Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, odor control, and fire protection systems for water and wastewater facilities in the Northwest region. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, perform detailed calculations, select equipment, and coordinate with clients and vendors to ensure project success.

Required are a PE license, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and 10+ years of design/build experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design and construction-phase services.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, organizational skills, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and coordination of mechanical systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Prepare calculations for plumbing and HVAC systems and equipment sizing.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, vendors, and clients to establish project needs.
• Provide design guidance and mentorship to junior designers and drafters.
