Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Greater Seattle Area seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical hardware for the TeraWave Customer Terminals. You will perform structural and thermal analyses, maintain CAD models and BOMs, and collaborate with systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure producible, high-performance hardware.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years' experience in mechanical design, proficiency with CATIA/SolidWorks/NX, and a strong grasp of GD&T and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of mechanical design and hardware development experience.
• Proficient with CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX) and GD&T.
• Experience in structural and thermal analyses and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical hardware components and assemblies for complex hardware systems.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses and tolerance stack-ups.
• Develop and maintain CAD models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Support hardware integration, test activities, and design reviews.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams; ensure producibility.
• Interface with suppliers and drive design iteration and risk mitigation.
