Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking an experienced aerospace/mechanical engineer to lead vehicle-level design and integration for spaceflight architectures, mass properties, and interfaces. You will create 3D models, run trade studies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, a BS in aerospace or mechanical engineering, 5+ years of design experience, and proficiency with Creo and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years designing complex engineered products.
• Proficient in 3D CAD, preferably Creo.
• GD&T proficiency per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire design cycle of flight hardware, including conceptual and detailed design, analysis, and drawing release.
• Generate 3D models, perform spatial integration & packaging activities with Integrated Product Teams.
• Perform trade studies and provide recommended solutions.
• Generate vehicle alignment & pointing analysis.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces and space reservation zones.
• Calculate spacecraft mass properties.
• Participate in a small, agile team to adapt to shifting priorities.
