Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer IV to lead mechanical engineering efforts for RF payload hardware in the TeraWave program. You will bridge mechanical, RF, and electrical teams, guide architecture studies, and ensure producibility through interactions with suppliers and manufacturers.

The role requires mentoring junior engineers, performing structural and thermal analyses, and coordinating packaging approaches across programs to meet interface requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in mechanical design and packaging of complex electronic hardware.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (CATIA/SolidWorks/NX) for assembly modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and packaging of mechanical structures for RF payload hardware.
• Direct thermal management strategies for high-power RF payload electronics.
• Perform structural and thermal analyses and tolerance stack-ups.
