Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to design and develop ground support equipment and mechanical systems for launch site facilities. You will lead subsystems, perform FEA, and oversee fabrication, assembly, and testing, ensuring high reliability under dynamic loading.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in mechanical design/analysis, CAD proficiency, and experience with GD&T. Relocation is provided and U.S. citizenship or eligible status is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 7+ years designing large, complex mechanical systems (GSE, mechanisms).
• Experience leading designs from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for subsystems and deliver mechanical solutions.
• Perform and review FEA and hand-calcs for complex systems.
• Manage external design/fabrication partners through project lifecycle.
