Job summary

Selectek, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior P.E. Mechanical Engineer with deep HVac and process utility system expertise to design and deliver complex semiconductor facilities.

This hybrid role requires collaboration across disciplines and active leadership from concept through commissioning. The ideal candidate has a TX-registered PE and 8+ years in high-tech environments, focusing on AHUs, chillers, boilers, UPW systems, and safety-compliant design per ASHRAE, NFPA, and SEMI standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree.
• TX PE license or eligible within six months of hire.
• 8+ years of progressive mechanical systems design experience in semiconductor/manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the mechanical authority on projects and lead end-to-end mechanical design for semiconductor tool installations.
• Perform thermodynamic, hydraulic, and psychrometric analyses to optimize performance.
• Coordinate across electrical, structural, process, chemical, controls, and architectural teams; lead design reviews and constructability checks.
• Provide hands-on engineering support during construction: RFIs, submittals, site inspections, and start-up oversight.
