Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Engineer V) to lead design reviews for data center construction, coordinating with the Engineer of Record and General Contractor to resolve RFIs and ensure code compliance.

The role covers wet and dry systems, HVAC, cooling towers and chillers, with remote work options and occasional travel to Austin, TX. Compensation is $140 per hour on Experis W2 for a 4-month assignment with potential extension.

Qualifications

• End-to-end mechanical design experience for industrial facilities.
• Mechanical design review and validation on industrial projects, including red-lining.
• Strong knowledge of wet & dry systems: HVAC, plumbing, cooling towers and chillers.
• Familiarity with ICC, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ASME, ANSI and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate mechanical design packages for Factory 1.
• Coordinate with EOR, GC, and stakeholders to resolve RFIs and conflicts.
• Support permit submissions and review contractor submittals.
• Conduct design reviews during milestones for HVAC and fire protection.
• Ensure alignment with approved design intent and standards.
