Job summary

Fleet Data Centers is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge mechanical systems for mega-scale data centers. You will oversee cross‑functional teams and ensure energy-efficient, reliable solutions across multiple regions.

The role requires deep expertise in central utility plants, cooling systems, humidity control, and value engineering for state‑of‑the‑art facilities. Travel to sites is possible as projects scale globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Building Services engineering or related field; master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
• 8+ years in mechanical engineering with 5+ years in data center design/operations.
• Proven track record delivering mechanical systems for large-scale data centers, including HVAC, cooling, fire suppression.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage internal and external data center design engineering teams.
• Design and develop mechanical systems for large-scale data centers (HVAC, cooling, chillers, rack-based cooling, fire protection).
• Provide mechanical design oversight from concept to commissioning; ensure energy efficiency and performance.
