Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to design and optimize facility piping systems and size equipment.

You will prepare technical drawings, perform flow, pressure-drop, thermal, and structural checks, and support safety reviews, procurement evaluations, FATs, field inspections, and commissioning under senior staff. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, at least 2 years’ piping/ fluid systems experience in an industrial setting, and the

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on piping, fluid systems or process equipment experience in an industrial setting.
Experience with equipment sizing, calculations, codes and safety practices; ability to use drafting or analysis tools; must obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design and optimize facility piping systems and size mechanical equipment.
Prepare and update technical drawings and specifications, conduct flow, pressure-drop, thermal, stress and structural checks.
Support safety and quality reviews, procurement evaluations, FAT, field inspections, commissioning and troubleshooting under senior staff guidance.
