Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced nuclear power engineer to lead analysis and design activities for uprates and turbine retrofit projects. You will interact with clients and project teams, develop proposals and estimates, and mentor junior staff on power plant engineering tasks.

The role requires a BSME from an ABET-accredited program, 10+ years in the nuclear industry, and strong writing and communication skills. This is a hybrid position with in-office work three days per week.

Qualifications

• Requires a BSME from ABET-accredited program with strong thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• 10+ years of nuclear power industry experience.
• Experience with nuclear power uprates and/or turbine retrofit projects.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for nuclear plant mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analyses for power uprates and related plant improvements.
• Interface with clients and project teams to present technical discussions and status.
• Develop engineering proposals and cost estimates.
• Manage resources and budgeting for tasks and schedules.
• Review calculations and reports to support client recommendations.
