The candidate should have an ABET-accredited BSME with 10+ years in nuclear power, familiarity with industry codes, and strong analytical and reporting skills. This hybrid role offers office and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Requires a BSME from an ABET-accredited program with strong thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics background.
• 10+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• Experience with nuclear power uprates and/or turbine retrofit projects.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical design in nuclear plants.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform consulting level work for power uprates in the nuclear industry.
• Interface with clients and project teams to present technical discussions and project status.
• Develop engineering proposals and cost estimates.
• Manage resources and budget for task completion and scheduling.
• Review calculations related to heat balances, pumps, heat exchangers, and plant hazards.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers on power plant tasks.
• Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to confirm scope and client satisfaction.
