Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group is seeking an experienced engineer to support power uprates across major nuclear systems. You will interface with clients, develop proposals, and manage budgets while reviewing heat balance and equipment evaluations to meet client needs.

The role requires a strong thermodynamics and fluid mechanics background, 10+ years in nuclear power, and a track record in turbine refurbishments, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing three days in the office and two

Qualifications

• Requires a BSME from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• Experience with nuclear power uprates and/or turbine retrofit projects.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering design codes and regulations for nuclear plants.
• Strong report writing and MS Office skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform consulting level work for power uprates in the nuclear industry.
• Interface with clients and project teams to present technical discussions and project status.
• Develop engineering proposals and cost estimates.
• Manage resources and develop estimates for task completion and budget.
• Review calculations related to heat balances and plant equipment.
• Review reports and equipment evaluations to meet client requirements.
• Lead and mentor junior engineering staff on project tasks.
• Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to validate scope and satisfaction.
