Qualifications

• Requires a BSME from an ABET-accredited program with a strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• 10+ years of nuclear power industry experience.
• Experience with power uprates and/or turbine retrofit projects.
• Knowledge of plant systems, heat balance, pumps, heat exchangers, and related calculations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead licensing basis system and component evaluations for nuclear uprate projects.
• Apply thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics to power plant engineering.
• Perform consulting-level work for uprates in the nuclear industry.
• Prepare heat balance, pump, heat exchanger, condenser, and heat sink calculations.
