Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to own the design of high-performance building systems across commercial, institutional, and life sciences sectors.

You will lead multi-discipline projects from concept through construction, serve as primary client contact, and mentor junior engineers. You’ll work with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, and HVAC modeling tools to deliver compliant, energy-conscious designs under tight budgets and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required; MSME a plus.
• PE license required.
• 8+ years of lead mechanical engineering experience in MEP consulting.

Responsibilities

• Leading mechanical/HVAC design for multi-sector building projects.
• Performing and reviewing complex engineering calculations and system sizing.
• Developing mechanical plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Ensuring designs comply with ASHRAE, NFPA, IMC, IECC and other codes.
• Reviewing shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs during construction.
• Serving as primary client contact for assigned projects.
• Managing project scope, schedule, budget, and staffing from kickoff to closeout.
• Leading coordination with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology teams.
• Overseeing junior engineers and providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Managing proposal development, project planning, and workload forecasting.
• Conducting QA/QC reviews for technical accuracy and consistency.
• Driving project efficiency and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
