Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Senior Professional Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design for HVAC, plumbing, processing and other systems for heavy industrial facilities. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver plans, specs and construction documentation across a diverse portfolio and travel as needed to client sites.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to proposals, and help drive business development in the Mining sector while maintaining technical excellence,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• 10+ years of progressive experience designing heavy industrial structures (mining, manufacturing).
• Experience with design of heavy industrial facilities and site operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for complex plant/building systems and site operations in heavy industrial sectors.
• Prepare mechanical plans, specifications, design details and construction documentation.
• Lead design teams and manage technical quality, schedules and safety aspects from conception through construction.
• Mentor and develop less experienced team members.
