Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering scope for modernization/retrofit projects for a major client. The role requires 8+ years of experience in material handling systems and strong customer-facing presentation skills.

You will contribute to design-to-installation processes, manage schedules and budgets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CET Configura and AutoCAD preferred.
• Familiar with Amazon DC installation types and MTBH rates.
• Strong background in material handling/automation.
• Experience in project-based design to installation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Own and execute mechanical engineering scope for assigned Amazon modernization/retrofit projects.
• Ensure targets for quality, on-time delivery, and cost; anticipate issues.
• Maintain project logs and report portfolio performance.
• Manage short-term monthly forecast across projects.
• Design complex systems integrating hardware and software.
• Develop material specifications and schematics; follow-up as needed.
• Identify productivity improvements and cost-reduction ideas.
• Transfer knowledge for processes and product applications in system design.
