Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Server Liquid Systems to drive new product development of advanced thermal-mechanical cooling hardware. You will design, analyze, and integrate liquid cooling components like cold plates, RDHX, and manifolds, with CFD/FEA support and cross-functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes Creo-based modeling, detailed drawings, BOM accuracy, and supplier engagement, with 10-15% travel to supplier visits and customer meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience in thermal-mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with data center cooling tech, ASHRAE guidelines preferred.
• Proficient modeling skills; Creo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design cold plates, RDHX assemblies, manifolds, and liquid distribution components.
• Develop microchannel geometries optimized for pressure drop and heat transfer.
• Evaluate materials, surface treatments, and bonding methods.
• Create detailed 3D models and drawings in Creo with design intent.
• Support CFD and FEA for channel design and structural integrity.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver optimal cooling solutions.
• Produce BOMs and provide manufacturing support during prototyping.
• Assist Pre-Sales with solution development and quotations.
