Job summary

Vertiv in Westerville, OH is seeking a Sr DVT Engineer – Liquid Cooling to lead Design Verification Testing for cutting-edge liquid cooling products used in AI-driven datacenters. You will translate product requirements into clear test plans, execute validation efforts, and document results in a fast-paced NPDI laboratory environment.

You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware/controls, and manufacturing teams to ensure performance, reliability and qualification against industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in product validation or test engineering.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced development environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute DVT plans for new liquid cooling products.
• Translate requirements into test methods and acceptance criteria.
• Perform performance and reliability testing, including ASHRAE standards.
• Support Factory Witness Testing with setups, instrumentation, and test conditions.
• Document results and drive issue resolution to meet acceptance criteria.
• Ensure traceability between requirements and test results.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, firmware/controls, and manufacturing teams.
• Conduct engineering calculations related to thermodynamics and heat transfer.
• Support NPDI validation activities from prototype to qualification.
