Job summary

Delkor Systems, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of new machinery. You will estimate time and material costs, publish specifications, and direct concept development on test components and rigs.

You will manage projects from order entry through field test, mentor peers, coordinate with sales, and ensure safety and compliance while creating CAD drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• BSME + 6+ years machine design experience.
• Associate degree + 10 years machine design experience.
• 6+ years experience with SolidWorks or similar 3-D solid modeling.
• Experience managing development projects.
• Experience working with end-customers.

Responsibilities

• Estimate time and material costs for new machinery quotes.
• Develop prototype machine specifications, configurations, options list, and cost targets.
• Direct concept development on test components and test rigs.
• Provide project management and leadership from Order Entry through Field Test completion.
• Direct assembly and validation personnel in day-to-day build and test activities.
• Coordinate with sales Project Manager to solve technical issues in the field.
• Mentor colleagues in best machinery development practices.
• Define and enforce corrective actions related to technical issues.
• Assist assembly floor and manufacturing when called upon.
