Job summary

Search-Leaders,-LL in Minnesota is seeking an electro-mechanical engineer to drive product and technology development from concept to production launch. The role blends hands-on R&D with systems-level engineering across mechanical, electrical, sensing, and embedded technologies to deliver production-ready solutions.

The engineer will design subsystems, integrate components, plan prototype builds, run tests, and support design reviews and product launches while collaborating with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing electro-mechanical products within manufacturing.
• Experience integrating mechanical designs with electrical components, sensors, actuators, motors, controls, or embedded systems.
• Experience with 3D CAD, drawings, BOMs, prototyping, testing, and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design electro-mechanical products, subsystems, test fixtures, and technology demonstrators.
• Integrate mechanical components with sensors, motors, actuators, switches, controls, power supplies, wiring, and embedded devices.
• Plan and execute prototype builds, bench testing, design verification, and field trials.
• Develop test methods, fixtures, data acquisition, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate across R&D, product management, manufacturing, sales, service, suppliers, and global teams.
• Support design reviews, Stage-Gate reviews, risk assessments, and product launches.
• Research emerging technologies in automation, sensing, controls, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.
