Job summary

PAR Systems is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Advanced Engineering team in Minnesota. You will work with design, manufacturing, controls and software engineers to create automated manufacturing solutions and mentor junior engineers.

You will lead design reviews, drive concept to detailing, support machine build and checkout activities, and validate concepts through proofs of concept in our robotics lab. Travel 10-25% may be required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of experience in design of automated manufacturing systems.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites; 10-25% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external design review meetings to ensure overall system design meets high standards and customer requirements.
• Hands-on with designs while supporting machine build and checkout activities.
• Validate new design concepts through proof-of-concept and feasibility studies in the robotics lab.
• Influence standards and drive improvements in engineering processes to be more efficient and scalable.
