Job summary

CRB in Bridgewater Township, NJ, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and mechanical utilities design for new buildings and renovations. You will manage discipline scope on mid-sized projects, coordinate with architects, engineers, clients and contractors, and prepare load calculations, energy models, specs and drawings.

The role requires ABET-accredited degree, PE license, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with a mechanical focus).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Professional Engineer registration in good standing.
• Relevant AEC firm experience.
• Intermediate experience with HVAC, mechanical utility and piping systems designs.

Responsibilities

• Designs mechanical systems of intermediate complexity in conformance with code requirements and coordination with other design disciplines.
• Manages multiple complex tasks, establishes priorities and directs the work of others.
• Works with architects, engineers and designers for a coordinated, constructible design.
• Develops narratives, reports and construction drawings and writes construction specifications.
• Supports construction activities such as RFI responses, submittal reviews and punch lists.
• Plans and directs work and manages a project mechanical design budget.
• Leads design programming and master planning on intermediate projects.
• Acts as Engineer-of-Record for small to medium projects when acting as Lead Mechanical Engineer.
