Job summary

CRB, a leading engineering, architecture, construction and consulting firm, seeks a Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC and mechanical utilities for complex facilities. You will oversee discipline work, budgets and schedules, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients, vendors and project teams across all design phases from studies to construction administration.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical focus.
• Professional Engineer registration in good standing.
• 15+ years of experience for Senior Lead position.
• Expert experience with HVAC, mechanical utilities and piping systems design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and code compliance knowledge.
• Advanced knowledge of industry standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, ISO, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages the workflows and execution of design and engineering support staff to meet client expectations.
• Coordinates with internal and external parties, manages multiple complex tasks, establishes priorities and directs the work of others.
• Works with a Project Manager on proposal development, design task identification, man-hour planning and project scheduling.
• Identifies and resolves advanced non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and field surveys.
• Develops narratives, reports and construction drawing packages and writes construction specifications.
• Provides mentorship to less experienced Mechanical Engineers and/or Designers.
• Leads advanced project system design programming and master planning with minimal supervision.
