Job summary

CRB is seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV to lead HVAC and mechanical utility design for buildings, coordinating with architects, engineers, clients and vendors across all project phases. This role directs design development, specifications, drawings and reports for complex projects, ensuring quality and compliance.

The position requires an ABET-accredited degree, 10+ years of experience and a Professional Engineer license, with hands-on energy modeling and field coordination.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (mechanical focus).
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer registration in good standing.
• Experience with HVAC, mechanical utilities and piping design.
• Experience applying mechanical/plumbing/fire/building codes.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with client and external partners.
• Leads design activities for mechanical scope across studies through construction.
• Coordinates with project managers on budgets, schedules and man-hours.
• Conducts field surveys and supports field reporting.
• Ensures quality checks of documents and code compliance.
• Mentors mechanical staff and leads project teams.
