Job summary

CRB Group in Raleigh, NC seeks a Mechanical Engineer IV to lead HVAC and mechanical utilities design for complex buildings. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients, manage the mechanical discipline scope, and guide a team through multiple project phases from studies to construction administration.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and strong knowledge of building codes and GMP environments.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering with mechanical focus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design for buildings.
• Advanced experience with HVAC, mechanical utilities and piping system design.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical/plumbing/fire/building codes.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with client and external partners to align project goals.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and designers for a coordinated design.
• Plan, task identification and scheduling for mechanical scope with a Project Manager.
• Lead field surveys and support field reporting.
• Develop narratives, reports and construction drawings with specifications.
• Review RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and progress reports.
• Quality-check documents for technical accuracy on complex projects.
• Mentor less experienced Mechanical Engineers and Designers.
• Lead advanced project system design and master planning with senior support.
