Job summary

CRB is seeking a Mechanical Engineer IV to lead HVAC and mechanical utility design for complex building projects. You will supervise a mechanical team, coordinate with architects, engineers and clients, and ensure code-compliant, high-quality design deliverables across all project phases.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, PE registration, and proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD. Hybrid work is available; must reside within commutable distance to Raleigh, NC or relocate accordingly.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with a mechanical focus).
• Professional Engineer registration in good standing.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
• Advanced experience with HVAC, mechanical utility and piping systems; code applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for HVAC and utilities across large projects.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors to ensure constructible designs.
• Develop narratives, design reports, drawings, specifications and construction documents for complex projects.
• Mentor less experienced Mechanical Engineers and Designers; support senior engineers.
• Manage discipline scope, budget and schedules across multiple project phases.
