Job summary

Jobot is seeking a mid-to-senior Mechanical Engineer for healthcare and laboratory design projects in San Francisco. You will develop HVAC and building systems, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver safe, reliable, energy-efficient solutions.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a mechanical engineering degree, and proficiency in Revit. A hybrid work model in San Francisco and permanent status are offered with a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in healthcare and laboratory environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with healthcare facility design, Revit, and design coordination.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems for healthcare and laboratory environments.
• Professional licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical building systems designs for healthcare facilities and laboratories.
• Design ventilation, heating, cooling, exhaust, and related systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations including loads, airflow, pressures, and equipment sizing.
• Produce and review drawings, specs, schedules, and documentation using Revit.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing disciplines.
• Support design reviews and communicate recommendations to clients and teams.
• Assist construction-phase activities with submittals and site observations.
• Contribute to quality assurance and risk identification, meeting schedules.
