Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Healthcare Facilities Design in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will apply building mechanical engineering principles, deliver projects on schedule and on budget, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements include six+ years in healthcare design, strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing, and familiarity with California codes, OSHPD, NFPA, IBC, and LEED. A PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Healthcare project design experience.
• Ability to lead complex healthcare projects with measurable outcomes.
• Knowledge of codes and standards (California, OSHPD, NFPA, IBC, LEED).
• Strong design and documentation capabilities.
• Experience with BIM and coordination with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and deliver healthcare projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Design and develop mechanical systems for healthcare facilities (HVAC, plumbing, medical gas).
• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Coordinate with project leaders, architects, and contractors to meet objectives.
