Job summary

Jobot is seeking a mid-to-senior Electrical Engineer to design MEP building systems for healthcare and research facilities in San Francisco. The role emphasizes electrical distribution, lighting, and emergency power, with Revit modeling and multidisciplinary coordination.

The position is permanent with a hybrid schedule (4 days in SF office), offering a base salary up to $150,000 plus a performance bonus and employer-paid benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in MEP electrical design.
• Proficient in Revit or BIM software.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting and emergency systems.
• PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical building systems designs for power, lighting and emergency power.
• Create and maintain Revit models, drawings and specs.
• Perform electrical calculations and sizing analyses.
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines to resolve conflicts.
• Specify equipment and ensure compliance with codes and objectives.
• Support through design development and construction administration.
• Review shop drawings and resolve field issues.
• Participate in site visits and progress reviews.
• Contribute to quality reviews and project documentation.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to teams and clients.
