Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of consulting experience to join our Boston, Framingham, and Waltham offices. You will design the mechanical systems of energy-efficient buildings for diverse clients, guiding projects from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate holds an EIT or PE, excels in client interfacing, and has hands-on MEP design experience using Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer.
• EIT or PE certificate.
• Project management experience.
• Interfacing with clients.
• Cooling and heating plants experience.
• MEP design experience.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and design the heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and plumbing systems of buildings for bidding and construction.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings; attend meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed.
• Provide guidance on energy efficient designs for various projects.
• Review submittals to ensure conformance with contract documents.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques for tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers and staff to implement operating procedures and resolve issues.
• Research design proposals to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
• Specify system components or modify products to meet design/performance specs.
• Design and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, and processes to meet requirements.
