Job summary

CMTA (formerly AMA Group) is seeking a Senior Project Engineer, Mechanical, to design mechanical systems and lead projects across healthcare, labs, high-rise offices, and other commercial and institutional facilities. This hands-on role involves leading client interactions, coordinating with contractors and architects, and delivering compliant, energy-efficient designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering required; PE highly preferred.
• 5–9 years of experience in mechanical system design; field experience is required.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards, drafting standards, and related trades.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and manage the design process.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for buildings and facilities across diverse project types.
• Lead projects and represent CMTA with clients, contractors, and architects.
• Prepare basis-of-design docs and respond to client comments; implement design changes in CAD tools.
• Perform design load calculations and equipment selections.
• Develop energy-efficient systems and support LEED and other rating systems compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project success.
