Job summary

CMTA, Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 7+ years of consulting experience to design energy-efficient HVAC and mechanical systems for a variety of building types.

This onsite role collaborates with a team and engages clients from concept through completion. The ideal candidate holds a mechanical or architectural engineering degree, may have an EIT or PE, and is proficient in Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience in consulting HVAC design.
• EIT certification or PE license preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit; strong client interaction experience.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and mechanical systems for energy-efficient buildings.
• Manage projects from conception to completion.
• Review drawings, schematics, and reports for compliance.
• Meet with clients, owners, and architects to define requirements.
• Provide guidance to staff engineers on best practices for energy-efficient design.
• Mentor less experienced staff and perform project technical reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve design issues.
